Blokes and Braids
Description
Ever found yourself holding a brush and a hair tie thinking, where do I even start?
Blokes and Braids is a relaxed afternoon for dads and father figures to learn a few simple, everyday hairstyles in a friendly and easygoing setting.
This hands-on session is designed to build confidence with the basics. You will learn practical, go-to styles that make school mornings and busy days that little bit easier. Our facilitator will guide the group step by step through several easy styles in a clear and straightforward way. There will be time to practice and ask questions in a laid-back environment.
It is also a chance to meet other local dads while learning something useful. Parenting can feel isolating at times and dads do not always have many spaces just for them. This is simply a relaxed opportunity to pick up a new skill and spend some time with other fathers and father figures in the community.
Light snacks will be provided and drinks will be available for purchase at the venue.
This is a free, pay what you feel event. If you are in a position to contribute, donations will go directly towards supporting Parent Thread’s free community connection programs for parents in our region.
Blokes and Braids is a Parent Thread event, proudly sponsored by Geelong Connected Communities, in partnership with Strong Dads Geelong and hosted by Where You Meet.
