This is Roman, our Head of R&D. In this photo, he is taking part in this year’s Kevadtorm (Spring Storm), Estonia’s largest annual military reserve exercise. Every year, thousands of people step away from their everyday jobs for a few weeks to train and help maintain Estonia’s defence readiness. Several members of our team take part in these exercises each year as well. While Roman has already returned to the office, a few of our teammates are still out in the field. We believe this responsibility shouldn’t come with a financial burden. That’s why HUUM continues paying full salaries to employees during reserve training, so they can focus on their duties without worrying about lost income back home. Last year, we were honoured to receive the Gold-Level Riigikaitsjate toetaja (“Supporter of National Defence”) recognition from the Ministry of Defence. But more importantly, we value the peace of mind this support gives our team. We also warmly encourage other companies to support their reservists in the same way. Strong communities are built on shared responsibility and peace of mind 💛

Sauna culture evolves - but the feeling stays the same 🔥 Traditionally, Estonians have always loved wood-fired saunas, especially in countryside homes and summer cottages. Heating the stove, waiting for the stones to get hot, enjoying the whole ritual - it’s an experience many of us grew up with. But today, electric saunas have become a natural part of everyday life, especially in apartments and busy households where convenience matters more. And honestly, there’s something incredibly satisfying about turning your sauna on from the app during the day and arriving home to soft heat already waiting for you 🧖 Different heaters, different rituals - but the same timeless feeling of slowing down and relaxing. Which do you prefer: an electric heater or a wood-fired stove?

We had the pleasure of welcoming our partner Saunature from Japan for another visit - one that was equally inspiring, enjoyable, and just a little bit work-focused 😄 Originally from the Netherlands and now based in Japan, the Saunature team came to Estonia with their family to spend time together, exchange ideas, and, of course, enjoy a proper sauna experience. From a relaxed lunch to meaningful conversations and several good sauna sessions - it was one of those visits that remind us why we do what we do. We didn’t take many photos this time (a sign we were fully in the moment), but a few snapshots still capture the spirit. Moments like these remind us that what we’re building goes far beyond products. It’s a shared journey - shaped by people and trust. Can’t sleep? Go to the sauna! 😴 If you're struggling to fall asleep or waking up too early, a well-timed sauna session might help you. Inside the sauna, heat dilates your blood vessels, increasing blood flow toward your skin. After stepping out, your body begins to cool down, closely mimicking your natural “power down” cues before sleep. This shift helps your body prepare for rest, making it easier to fall asleep. The post-sauna cooling phase also supports your body’s natural temperature rhythm, which plays an important role in sleep quality - especially as we age and our internal “thermostat” becomes less efficient. So, if you’ve been having trouble sleeping, a sauna session in the evening might be worth a try. After all, good sleep is the foundation of feeling your best 😉 Have you noticed better sleep after a sauna session?

Võhandu 2026: 100km of pure determination! 🛶💪 12 of our team members took on the legendary Võhandu Marathon -100 km of paddling, teamwork, and pure determination. With 6 boats at the start line (5 kayaks and 1 canoe), it was a day full of challenge, adrenaline, and unforgettable moments. Some of us returned to the river, aiming for new personal bests - and achieved them. Others experienced the marathon for the very first time. But no matter the experience level, the feeling at the finish line was the same: tired arms, big smiles, and a strong sense of “we did this together.” And it truly was a team effort. While 12 paddled, more than 20 teammates supported from the shore - cheering, helping, fueling, and keeping spirits high every step (and stroke) of the way. What we’ll remember most isn’t just the kilometers, but the atmosphere. The encouragement between teams, the shared snacks, the small moments of support along the river - it’s what makes Võhandu so much more than a race. And it’s exactly why we’ll be back next year 🤎

Only 4 days to go 🚣 The Võhandu Marathon is calling - and for the third year in a row, we’re answering. 100 km on the river, testing endurance, teamwork, and a good dose of determination. What once felt a little intimidating has now become a tradition. Some of our paddlers are returning for their third run, while new teammates are stepping in, ready to take on the challenge for the first time. And behind every boat, there’s a whole crew on land - cheering, supporting, and making sure everything flows smoothly. At HUUM, we believe wellness is built together. Whether it’s in the sauna or out on the river, it’s about showing up, pushing limits, and sharing the experience 🤎 See you on the water!
