Keeping a city warm is not just about infrastructure — it is about reliability and close collaboration. In Stockholm, Stockholm Exergi supplies heat to more than 800,000 people, including critical infrastructure like hospitals. Ensuring uninterrupted operations across such a complex setup requires a strong, long-term approach. Together with Stockholm Exergi and our certified service partner Styreg, we developed a tailored DrivePro® Lifecycle Services program — built around their installed base and operational needs. From site assessments and retrofits to preventive maintenance and spare parts, we combined our broad portfolio of solutions and services into one integrated approach. The result is proactive maintenance, faster response times, and fewer unexpected disruptions. A practical example of how close cooperation and co-creation help strengthen reliability at scale. The focus is clear: the building blocks for efficient data centers already exist — what matters is how they’re integrated. In this recent editorial by DatacenterDynamics, our SVP and CTO at Danfoss Climate Solutions, Dietmar Baro, shares how digital tools are helping turn system-level thinking into real efficiency. “At Danfoss, energy efficiency is our core focus underpinning decision-making. We’re looking at how we can do more, faster, more efficiently, and how we can build energy efficiency into facility and system design,” he notes in the article. Read the article to get his insights into how liquid cooling, system-level optimization, and digital tools can enable scalable, future‑ready infrastructure. https://bit.ly/4uZFH7R #DataCenter #CompetitiveDecarbonization #DecarbonizationExplained

Today, we welcomed women from across the district energy sector to our headquarters in Nordborg, Denmark for a day of dialog, learning, and knowledge sharing. Our guests visited both our Smart Store and Application Development Center, getting a firsthand look at how we work with energy efficiency and decarbonization. We also created space for important conversations — taking the discussion beyond technology. Jing Jørgensen and Jonas Hamann shared their insights with the group, diving into the future of district energy, market developments, and how inclusion and diverse perspectives enable high-performing teams to thrive. Technology — and people — are essential to accelerating decarbonization. We’re proud to support and develop both at our global headquarters.

As EU Energy Ministers meet in Cyprus today to discuss how Europe can strengthen energy resilience and reduce reliance on imported fossil fuels, one thing is clear: energy efficiency is one of Europe’s fastest and most cost-effective ways to strengthen energy security. Danfoss welcomes the opportunity to contribute to the Energy Security Technology Catalogue alongside a cross-sector coalition convened by European Alliance to Save Energy (EU-ASE), supporting the European Commission’s #AccelerateEU task through the Energy Security Technology Catalogue. The catalogue highlights cross-sectoral, readily deployable energy efficiency technologies and solutions that are available today and can be implemented at scale across sectors. This includes technologies highly relevant to Europe’s industrial and energy transition, including variable speed drives, waste heat recovery, and district heating. Scaling these measures can strengthen Europe’s energy security and competitiveness by reducing demand, lowering system costs, and improving resilience. Introducing ‘Bitten’... Today, in partnership with Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, we inaugurated Denmark’s new energy-efficient AI supercomputer. The project demonstrates a new model for how AI infrastructure can be integrated into energy systems for waste heat reuse and built more energy-efficiently. Bitten is also a strong example of what cross-sector, public/private collaboration can enable when research expertise, industrial decarbonization leadership, and data center technology come together. The supercomputer is named after Bitten Clausen, a pioneer in Danish industry and the heart and soul of Danfoss for more than 80 years. The name represents innovation, efficiency, sustainability, and gender representation in tech.
