  • We have completed the installation of the first fully commissioned monopile foundation at Ørsted’s Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm in the UK. This marks a major milestone in the execution of one of the world’s largest offshore wind developments. The installation is the first of 197 monopile foundations Cadeler will transport and install as part of our full transportation and installation (T&I) scope for the project. The successful installation of the first complete monopile foundation follows years of planning, engineering, and coordination across teams onshore and offshore. It reflects the coordinated execution of multiple specialised offshore scopes across vessels and project partners. The monopile itself was installed by Cadeler’s purpose-built A-class vessel, Wind Ally, while Wind Orca executed the installation of secondary steel. The full commissioning scope was carried out by the service operation vessel ESVAGT FROUDE, operated by the Danish company ESVAGT A/S. And Boston Energy has delivered the post-installation commissioning and completion scope for the foundation. Bradley Scott, Project Director at Cadeler, comments:  “This milestone is not just about the first structure in the ground – it represents an important step as we continue expanding into full-scope foundation transport and installation. Delivering projects at this scale requires close collaboration, detailed planning, and strong execution across every phase of the operation. We are proud to support Ørsted on Hornsea 3 and grateful to all teams offshore and onshore whose commitment and collaboration have contributed to reaching this point safely and successfully.” Read the full press release here: https://lnkd.in/e4J2-nqQ

  • Cadeler has recently joined forces with The Scarlett Box, a purpose-driven UK company focused on improving access to essential sanitary provisions for women working in isolated environments like maritime. As founder of the Scarlett Box and an Officer of the Watch (Unlimited), Scarlett Barnett-Smith knows firsthand what life at sea is about: “Working in an environment with very few women, I became aware of the lack of accessible and reliable sanitary provisions onboard vessels. There were moments where something as basic as needing a period product became unnecessarily stressful due to lack of supplies at hand. It was quite honestly very challenging at times. Also, I learned that this was a shared experience among many women I spoke to across the maritime industry. This gap, combined with the broader conversation around wellbeing, safety and inclusion at sea, motivated me to create a simple, practical solution. Since the launch of The Scarlett Box in 2025, the feedback I have received has been overwhelming. There is a clear recognition and a growing understanding that small, practical changes can make a significant difference. What has been particularly encouraging is the level of support from organisations like Cadeler who are actively working to improve welfare, safety, and inclusivity within maritime.” Rikke Kruse Kolby, Chief People & Culture Officer: “At Cadeler, we are committed to continuously building a supportive work environment where everyone feels included, valued, and respected – both offshore and onshore. Initiatives like the Scarlett Box may appear simple, but they represent the importance of listening to employee experiences and taking practical action that supports wellbeing and inclusion across our organisation.” The Scarlett Box initiative is currently being rolled out across Cadeler’s fleet, following its introduction across office locations in 2025.

  • We have reached another important milestone on the Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm: the mobilisation of Wind Ally and Wind Orca is now complete. Our teams have worked with focus and precision to prepare our two wind installation vessels for the next phase of operations. Wind Ally has completed her mobilisation in Port of Rotterdam and arrived at Steel River Quay, Teesworks, from where the loading of monopiles has started. This will be Wind Ally’s first project since her delivery. Wind Orca has completed a successful maintenance period and project mobilisation in Port Esbjerg, then Odense Port, and finally Port of Tyne, our loadout port for secondary steel. Over the coming year, Cadeler will deliver the full foundation transportation and installation (T&I) scope for the Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm. When complete, Hornsea 3, developed by Ørsted will become the single largest offshore wind farm in the world, delivering 2.9 GW of renewable energy – enough to power more than 3.3 million UK homes. We look forward to bringing this project safely into next stage 💚

  • First turbine standing at East Anglia THREE 🍃💚🌎 Wind Osprey and team have completed the installation of the very first turbine at East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm in the UK. When fully operational by the end of this year, the East Anglia THREE will have a total capacity of around 1.4 GW and capable of powering more than 1.3 million homes with reliable, homegrown energy. Cadeler will execute the full transportation and installation campaign of all 95 Siemens Gamesa SG 14-236 turbines - each standing around 262 metres tall, with blades stretching 115 metres across the sky. This will be Cadeler’s first project with ScottishPower Renewables, Iberdrola and Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) - and a strong starting point for future collaboration. For this campaign, Cadeler is deploying two wind installation jack-up vessels in parallel. Wind Osprey will very soon be joined by Wind Pace – enabling a streamlined installation programme across the project. This will be Wind Pace’s first project in European waters since her delivery last year. Built to install the next generation turbines, she brings increased capacity and operational flexibility – supporting efficient installation at scale. We wish the teams onboard Wind Osprey and Wind Pace a safe and successful execution 💚
