🚗 With more than 350,000 fans on site, the Nürburgring 24h once again showed why it stands among the most iconic motorsport events worldwide, combining endurance, innovation and emotion in a truly unique way. This year also marked a special milestone: 50 years of GTI, celebrated together with fans in a dedicated GTI Village right next to the track. 🏁 The Volkswagen Group was strongly represented across the grid, accounting for more than half of the starting field with 86 cars from its brands. Porsche AG, with 60 entries, was the most represented manufacturer and achieved strong results across multiple classes, highlighting the Group’s broad motorsport footprint. Oliver Blume, CEO of the Volkswagen Group, was also on site, supporting the teams throughout the weekend. ✨ At the same time, the weekend offered a glimpse into what lies ahead. ⚡️100-per-cent electric, 100-per-cent GTI: Volkswagen presents the all-new ID. Polo GTI at the 24h race at the Nürburgring. 🏁 The first all-electric model in the 50-year success story of the GTI, is making its debut. The 166 kW (226 PS) ID. Polo GTI accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. MOIA America, a Volkswagen Group company, and Uber have started public, on-road validation testing of purpose-built, autonomous ID. Buzz vehicles in Los Angeles - marking the next phase of their strategic partnership. 🚐🤖   MOIA plans to scale its fleet to more than 100 autonomous ID. Buzz vehicles equipped with Mobileye’s Self-Driving System (SDS) during this phase, with onboard human operators supporting the validation of the technology. Rides on the Uber platform are planned for late 2026. 🌐   “This next step for MOIA America with Uber reflects strong momentum behind the strategy to bring autonomous mobility into real-world operation,” said Sascha Meyer, Chief Commercial Officer for Volkswagen Autonomous Mobility. “By combining MOIA’s turnkey autonomous mobility solution with Uber’s global network, MOIA America is creating a scalable path toward driverless ride-hailing services, starting in Los Angeles and expanding to additional markets in the years ahead.”   “This marks an important step forward as we prepare to launch autonomous rides with MOIA,” said Sarfraz Maredia, Global Head of Autonomous Mobility & Delivery at Uber. “By combining the autonomous-ready version of Volkswagen’s iconic ID.
