I’m confident that this environment will help us further develop our technical expertise.” Nicolas Le Maoût started in 2011 as a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) engineer. Today, he is part of the AI-team, creating models to generate 3D shapes and anticipate the complex behavior of rubber, such as durability and vibrations. 🦺On World Day for Safety and Health at Work, we’re proud to spotlight the new “Safe Move 360” system at our Çerkezköy, Türkiye site, a strong example of how digital tools and teamwork come together for industrial safety. The program focuses on preventing accidents in the warehouse through real-time proximity alerts, helping to avoid dangerous interactions between people and mobile equipment. Supported by AI-based analytics, the system continuously analyzes movement patterns and identifies unsafe proximity events, making frequent and critical collision risks visible and actionable. #ThermoplasticElastomers (TPEs) & #ThermoplasticVulcanizate (TPVs): Now is the time for engineering applications✨ 🚗🔧   At the recent Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining (IOM3) conference in London, England, Elios Portron, Innovation Engineer at Vibracoustic and Alexis Walle, PhD Student at Vibracoustic, discussed how #TPEs and #TPVs are moving beyond their reputation as “nice-to-have” materials in engineering.   𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 ’60𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆: 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻, 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 💡 Developed in the late 1950s/1960s, #TPEs and #TPVs were often overlooked for engineering due to their mechanical properties and long-term performance compared to traditional elastomers.   𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱: 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 🚀 Recent advances in formulations and processing now allow #TPEs / #TPVs to increasingly replace traditional rubbers, offering both sustainability and industrial benefits.   𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 ♻️ Material and process advantages include: ✅Reduced processing times from thermoplastic processability ✅Recyclability for circular economy concepts ✅Design freedom, including over molding and new geometries optimized for noise isolation ✅Efficiency potential with lower energy use and shorter cycles ✅Reduced CO2 emissions   This makes #TPEs / #TPVs attractive for industries facing cost and sustainability pressures. 🏭   𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 #TPE / #TPV 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀:  Where do you currently see the biggest hurdles - material behavior, simulation, validation, or process integration?
