Last week, we were in Antwerp, right in the middle of one of Europe’s most dynamic tech events: SuperNova 🔥 SuperNova brings together founders, investors, corporates, and visionaries to shape “the business of tomorrow”, a place where ideas meet opportunity and real innovation happens. On the Big Score Europe stage, we took the opportunity to talk about something that often remains invisible: 👉 The growing threat of hate, harassment, and coordinated digital attacks. For companies, institutions, and people in the public eye, this is no longer a side issue. But we didn’t just highlight the problem. We showed how PENEMUE helps organizations detect, understand, and respond to digital threats. Because protecting reputation, people, and public discourse is no longer optional!! It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many builders, thinkers, and doers pushing Europe forward. Antwerp, Supernova: we’ll be back.

We have secured over €1.7 million in funding. 🚀 The round includes TION Health AG, Beyond Tomorrow vc, 4seedimpact, zigzag, Berlin Angel Fund, CGS Consulting und Beteiligungs GmbH, RLM, ILG Group as well as a group of experienced business angels, including great investors from encourageventures e.V., Black Forest Business Angels, and Business Angels Mitteldeutschland (BAM!) e.V. To date, we have helped protect over 1 billion digital interactions, addressing the growing challenges of online abuse, digital violence, and disinformation. The new funding will be used to further develop our platform, expand its capabilities, and scale its impact internationally. Our mission is to make digital communication safer by protecting individuals and organizations from harmful online behavior. This milestone marks the next step in building infrastructure for safer digital environments at global scale.

TOGETHER! – Visible in the stadiums and beyond! We are now protecting Karlsruher SC GmbH & Co. KGaA, its players and its community. As part of the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga TOGETHER! matchday, clubs across the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga set a joint signal against discrimination and digital attacks. This applies on the pitch and beyond. Digital attacks are part of everyday reality in professional sport. They occur repeatedly and affect behavior, performance and public presence. What becomes visible on the pitch is only one part of the game. Digital communication forms the other. The partnership with KSC extends protection into this space. All communication is continuously monitored, harmful patterns are identified early and potential harm is prevented. Emotions belong to football. Targeted attacks do not. Digital visibility should not become a risk. It requires structures that ensure protection in a continuous and reliable way.

Visibility deserves protection. We are proud to announce our partnership with Miss Germany Studios as the official digital protection partner for the Miss Germany Awards finalists. Miss Germany represents modern role models, strong voices and societal relevance. With increased visibility, however, comes increased exposure to digital hostility. Public presence today inevitably includes social media, and with it the risk of hate speech and coordinated attacks. As part of this partnership, PENEMUE will protect the finalists’ social media channels from hate speech and digital violence. Our goal is clear: to enable a secure digital environment where finalists can express their views, share their stories and represent their causes without fear of online abuse. Empowerment and visibility must go hand in hand with responsibility and protection. We look forward to working together to ensure that strong voices remain visible and supported in digital spaces.

Digital violence affects real performance. Hate speech has impact. Not abstract or theoretical, but measurable. When athletes speak openly about how digital hate affects their performance and mental stability, this goes beyond communication. It affects health. It affects safety. It affects the ability to compete at the highest level. Major sporting events increase visibility. With visibility comes vulnerability. Digital attacks create pressure. Sustained pressure alters behavior. And altered behavior influences performance. Some athletes step back from social media during competitions. Others try to ignore the dark noise. But neither approach addresses the structural problem. Hate speech is not a marginal phenomenon: it is embedded in digital dynamics. And it requires structural responses. Effective protection depends on clear and reliable systems: * early detection of (coordinated) attacks, * robust and aware moderation 24/7. * consistent documentation and legal assessment, * practical relief for social and community teams. Protection cannot be improvised. It must be planned, continuous, and resilient. PENEMUE builds protection structures for digital spaces. For athletes, for organizations, and for those carrying public responsibility. Digital visibility requires security.

Ein geringerer, aber nicht von der Hand zu weisender Anteil besteht hingegen aus Spam- und Scam-Kommentaren sowie Beleidigungen und Hass.   Um allen Fans und unseren Teams auf unseren Kanälen weiterhin einen Ort der gegenseitigen Wertschätzung und des respektvollen Austauschs zu bieten, arbeitet die Eintracht seit Saisonbeginn mit dem Freiburger Unternehmen PENEMUE zusammen.
