Our first Boeing 777-9 has taken flight for the first time, marking a major milestone for the 777X program. 🛫 Unlike earlier test aircraft, this airplane features Lufthansa’s fully outfitted passenger cabin, including premium and economy seats, in-flight entertainment systems and customer-ready cabin features. The first flight lasted 3 hours and 27 minutes over Washington and Oregon, testing the airplane’s systems and structures before the next phase of cabin and connectivity testing for the certification. Boeing will paint the airplane in full Lufthansa livery before delivery, with the first 777-9 delivery planned for 2027. A big step forward for us, Boeing and the future of long-haul flying. #Lufthansa #Boeing
