Everyone has an opinion when you build for a community. At Atolls, that is not something to work around. It is part of how the product works. Across platforms like mydealz, Dealabs, and Hotukdeals, users do much more than browse offers. They post deals, vote, comment, challenge decisions, and help shape what becomes visible to others. That kind of interaction changes how Product and Community teams work, because feedback does not arrive later in a survey; it happens in real time. But listening to users does not mean implementing every request as it comes. Sometimes a user asks for a specific feature, but the real work is understanding what they are trying to achieve. The request is the starting point, not always the answer. That is where product thinking becomes especially important: balancing live feedback with long-term goals, business constraints, and what will actually improve the experience across the platform. Not every decision is obvious at first, and not every change is immediately well received. When the community is active, feedback is public too. At this scale, trust matters as much as speed. AI can help teams handle repetitive work, detect issues faster, and manage a high volume of content, but the goal is not just to move faster. It is to make sure teams still have time for the human work that keeps these communities useful and trusted. In our latest careers page article, Yusuf Can Pirlibeylioğlu, Head of Product, Communities, and Sören Magerkort, Team Lead Community, share how our teams work with real user feedback, visible reactions, and millions of community interactions. For many working mothers, the end of the workday doesn’t mean the work is over. There is still the planning, the appointments, the caregiving, the mental list running in the background, and the pressure of trying to be present at work and at home. For Mother’s Day, Yovanka Alvarez spoke about the “double shift”, the paid workday and the caregiving work that often continues afterwards. She also talked about the guilt that can come with it. Not because working mothers aren’t doing enough, but because the expectation to do everything well at the same time is often unrealistic. This also has a career impact. When caregiving needs increase, whether for children or elderly family members, women are still more likely to reduce their working hours or step away from work for a period of time. That can affect growth, financial stability, and the choices available later on. So this Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating working mothers, but we’re also making space for a more honest conversation about what many of them carry every day. Thank you, Yovanka, for sharing your perspective with us. #LifeAtAtolls #MothersDay #WorkingParents #WomenAtWork

There’s a lot of conversation about AI right now, but much less about what it actually takes to make it useful inside a company. One thing became clearer for us at Atolls over the past year: it’s not mainly a tooling problem, it’s an enablement problem. Earlier this year, more than 100 Atollians took part in an internal AI #hackathon, and within a few weeks, 30 working prototypes were built. Not just by engineers, but by people across different teams, including some who wouldn’t usually describe themselves as technical. That wouldn’t have happened with a perfect setup from the top. It happened because people were given space to explore, access to the right support, and the freedom to try things without overcomplicating it. That’s what started to move things forward. Not from strategy to execution, but from conversation to action. We’re still figuring things out, but this was a clear step in making AI something we actually use, not just something we talk about. If you’re curious to see what was built and how teams approached it, we shared more in the full article: https://lnkd.in/d5jkKhR8 #LifeAtAtolls #AI #ProductDevelopment

🇨🇳 Last week, our COO Johannes Wirth and Senior Global Partnerships Manager Luis Artiles Ley were in China for the second time in recent months. And let’s just say, it was a productive trip: ➡️ Johannes gave a speech on stage which was streamed online and watched by approximately 100,000 live viewers ➡️ The pair had many productive conversations with brands to understand their challenges and how Atolls can help them 🏆 Atolls won the ‘Affiliate of the Year’ award The occasion was the AliExpress Brand+ conference, and we are proud that Atolls was invited to be a part of it. It was an incredible event in so many ways! Johannes and Luis had many productive conversations with AliExpress leadership as well as with founders and e-commerce leaders from brands such as Roborock, GMK Technology Co., Ltd, ENGWE, and HONOR. The message was clear: Atolls is a key partner, and many brands see our digital destinations as key players in the European e-commerce space. They’re also keen to explore new ways to work together, such as live streams where they can reward shoppers with real-time deals and price drops. We'd like to give a huge thanks to AliExpress and the team – Chris JUNQING GU, Dennis Wu, Yiki Zeng, Shahenda Ma, Stone, Eric Zhang, Sonic Gao, Eva Sha, Janice Zhang – for arranging such an amazing event. It was expertly organised and full of great content and discussions. And a special shout-out to 吉涵骁(Jimmy) for his hospitality and for making us feel so welcome in Shenzhen!

Last week, around 800 Atollians came together in Mallorca. Most of the time, we work across time zones, Slack threads, and calls. Being in the same place, even for a few days, changes how conversations happen. It wasn't only about getting everyone together, but also a chance to take a step back. Something we rarely do when we're deep in the day-to-day. We covered a lot: company direction, product roadmap, our approach to AI, and conversations around mental health, because sustainable performance starts with people, not just priorities. One thing resonated across every conversation: the moment we're in demands speed, not for the sake of it, but in how we prioritise, decide, and follow through. The world is moving, and we're moving with it. But some of the most useful moments weren't in the sessions. They showed up in the follow-up conversations, where people disagreed, challenged each other, or pushed for more clarity. The kind of exchange that rarely fits into a 30-minute call. That's where things start to become concrete. Moments like this are also a reminder of what we mean when we talk about being one Reef, not as a concept, but in how we work through things together. We left Mallorca with more context, clearer priorities, and a stronger sense of the people we're building this with. The next chapter starts now. And we're more ready for it than ever.  #AtollsBTR #LifeAtAtolls #StrongerTogether

Feeling out of place doesn’t always come from not fitting in, sometimes it comes from being at a different stage than everyone around you. In this clip, Pat Burson George talks about walking into a new environment and realising she was the oldest person in the room, something she hadn’t experienced before. Her first instinct was to adjust and try to keep up, even in small ways. Instead, she decided to approach it differently and accept where she is now, without trying to change it. It’s a perspective that challenges a common reflex to blend in, especially in environments where most people seem to share a similar profile. This clip is part of a wider series where women at Atolls share how they navigate the different roles, expectations, and identities they carry across work and life. #WomenInTech #WorkplaceCulture #Careers

Not being defined only by your job is harder than it sounds. In this clip, Wijdene Khachaà, Senior Product Manager at Atolls, reflects on something she’s learned over time: being fully committed to work doesn’t necessarily lead to feeling fulfilled. Making space for friends, relationships, and personal interests didn’t make her less serious about her role. It helped her see herself beyond it. She also touches on a pressure many women still carry, the idea that stepping away from constant work might make them less worthy of growth or leadership. Her perspective is clear: it doesn’t. This clip is part of a wider series where women at Atolls share how they navigate the different roles, expectations, and identities they carry across work and life. #WomenInTech #WorkLifeBalance #ProductManagement

What we learn in life doesn’t stay outside the office. In this short clip, Charlène Porée talks about something simple but important: how life experiences shape the way we work with others. Loss, change, breakups, difficult moments. Over time, these experiences build emotional intelligence. And that can change how we listen, how we react in difficult situations, and how we support the people we work with. For Charlène, it’s something she has noticed in herself over the years. The person who started at Atolls four years ago isn’t quite the same person today. Life happened in between, and that naturally shapes how she approaches work and people. This clip is part of a series of conversations we recorded around International Women’s Day, where Atollians shared personal perspectives on work, life experiences, and what they bring with them into the workplace. #InternationalWomensDay #WomenAtWork #LifeAtAtolls #WorkplaceConversations

Representation shapes what people believe is possible. In this short clip from our #InternationalWomensDay conversations at Atolls, Yovanka Alvarez, shares a perspective that often gets overlooked when we talk about gender equality. Too often, the conversation focuses only on women in executive roles. And while leadership representation matters, the real picture is broader than that. Representation needs to exist at every level of an organization. In fields like tech, where women are still underrepresented in engineering, data, and product roles, visibility plays a powerful role. When young girls see women working in STEM, it expands what they believe is possible for themselves. As Yovanka puts it, representation is not about trends or appearances. It is about role models. When people see someone like them in a role, on a stage, or even on a screen, it reshapes their sense of what they can achieve. That is why these conversations matter. They remind us that progress is not only measured by who sits at the top, but also by who feels welcome to enter, grow, and stay in the field. #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInTech #RepresentationMatters #Atolls #UnitedByDifferences
