𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 #𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 Being right in the middle of #production — that’s where genuine interest is created. It is often overlooked how diverse modern foundry professions are today. Yet this is where technologies are developed that later become part of machines, vehicles, and industrial systems used all over the world. That is why we open our doors to school classes, giving them a real insight into our production processes. And most importantly: they get hands-on experience themselves. For example, assembling 3D printed sand molds or working on casting components. 💪 At these workstations, many students realize for the first time which tasks they truly enjoy — and which #profession might suit them. At the same time, our employees also visit schools to share insights from their everyday work and introduce students to a wide range of careers. What’s needed is less abstract job titles and more real-world insight to truly understand professions and spark interest. We are always excited when young people get to know our #foundry and discover the diverse, demanding, and exciting #career opportunities ACTech has to offer. 💫

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘀! Reducing weight from 6.56 kg to 5.47 kg –while achieving over 200% more stiffness? Bionic design makes exactly that possible. 💪 Starting with a conventional axle carrier, IAMT Engineering GmbH & Co. KG (IAMT Gruppe) completely redesigned the structure: material only where it’s really needed—along the load paths. The key factor: our 3D sand printing combined with 30 years of experience in casting. 3D sand printing makes it possible to quickly and flexibly translate highly complex bionic geometries directly from CAD into production-ready casting molds. Sand casting offers a wide variety of materials and the series comparability required to optimally manufacture bionic designs. With our prototyping experience, we have bridged the gap between innovative design and actual manufacturing— and significantly shortened development times. A project that demonstrates: Only through modern manufacturing technologies such as 3D sand printing in close collaboration with the development loops, the full potential of bionic design can be realized. #prototyping #manufacturing #bionic #topologyoptimization

𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. This is exactly where today’s solutions are created – at the intersection of efficiency, weight and increasing technical complexity. If you want speed in development, you need to think manufacturing from the very beginning. On May 7–8, we will be attending the 11th Commercial Vehicle Workshop at Technische Universität Graz for the first time. The workshop brings together academia and industry and provides a platform for in-depth exchange on current developments in the commercial vehicle sector. Our colleagues Edgar Lay and Arvid Naumann will be on site and are looking forward to insightful discussions and new perspectives. 💪 #ACTech #Prototyping #Engineering

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹!   Hydrogen, methanol, ammonia, dual-fuel strategies— the concepts for the next generation of gas engines are there.   But turning them into reliable, durable systems requires more than models. It requires fast iteration, physical validation—and components that perform under real conditions.   This is exactly the gap we close at ACTech.   We turn complex concepts into ready-to-install castings— with flexibilty, precision and speed, so that your projects become reality. So development doesn’t stop at simulation, but moves forward into tested, reliable solutions.   This is also what the 14th Dessau Gas Engine Conference WTZ Roßlau is about: bridging theory and application across the entire value chain.   Ines Popp and Dirk Strohbach will be on site and look forward to exchanging ideas.   📍 Dessau-Roßlau, Germany 📅 May 6–7, 2026

𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗰𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲. ☕ In this case: a bionically optimized axle structure. What began as a fleeting thought last summer quickly grew into something more: a joint development project between IAMT Engineering GmbH & Co. KG (IAMT Gruppe) and ACTech GmbH. And with a clear goal: 🎯 The component was to be exhibited at Professional Motorsport World in November 2025. The timeline? Ambitious. The execution? All the more consistent. The bionic structure was developed by Anne from IAMT—in close collaboration with Peter from IAMT and our account manager Marc. 🚀 Development in 2.5 months (2 loops of bionic design and CAE) ⚙️ Manufacturing in 5 weeks This secured the exhibition—and the project attracted numerous enthusiastic visitors to ACTech’s booth as well as to IAMT’s booth at another trade show. In our next post, we’ll show you how you too can benefit from bionic structures in your development work and what technology lies behind them. #engineering #bionic #manufacturing #topologyoptimization

Speed in development is still underrated. ☝ Not in theory — everyone talks about faster cycles. But in practice, turning complex designs into real, testable components often still takes too long. At ACTech, we take a different approach. With our own foundry, additively manufactured sand molds and more than 25 machining centers, we bring all process steps together in one integrated setup — designed to keep development moving. At the International Vienna Motor Symposium 2026 (22–24 April), we’ll show what that looks like in reality: ✨ A fully machined V12 high-performance engine block, ready for validation. If you’re attending, feel free to connect with our colleagues Andreas Weise and Ines Popp on site. Vienna — be there! #ViennaMotorSymposium #Engineering #Prototyping #Casting #Manufacturing #ALLIN

When quality is non-negotiable, you need a partner who’s on the same page. Several times a week, colleagues from the "Zentrallabor GmbH" in Leipzig (https://lnkd.in/dVqpyvSi) visit our plant—without the need for handoffs across multiple interfaces. No waiting times. No black box. Last-minute tests? Just another day at the office. Changes to the project? No problem. While we manufacture, testing happens in parallel. For our customers, this means: reliable results without delay. For us, ALL IN doesn’t just mean handling everything in-house. It also means integrating the right partners so that they are part of the process. The Zentrallabor Leipzig is exactly that. Nearly 30 years of collaboration. Not something to be taken for granted. But something we’ve consciously built up. #quality #testing #collaboration
