This sparked a simple but powerful idea: Coffee & Learn. 🚀 Each month, one department opens the doors to its world – sharing insights, challenges, and what a typical workday looks like. Colleagues come together over coffee and cake, driven by curiosity and a genuine desire to learn from one another. We win together – even in the toughest conditions 💪 At our Franke Foodservice Systems production site in Gdynia (Poland), our colleagues recently proved what determination and team spirit look like by taking on the Gdynia Half Marathon. Battling strong coastal winds and persistent rain, they faced conditions that truly tested both physical endurance and mental resilience. 🌬️🌧️ Despite this, our colleagues crossed the finish line with determination. This year’s event was especially meaningful, as five Franke employees completed the half marathon with support from the local “Sport and Health” project (a well-being initiative that promotes an active lifestyle and access to health support). Together against single-use — powered by our apprentices At the Aarburg site of Franke Coffee Systems, a new reusable cup station is now in place – designed and built by apprentices from our vocational training center (Berufsbildungszentrum / BBZ) in Aarburg. 🎓 For our colleagues on the shopfloor, a great coffee during their well deserved breaks is more than just a habit – it’s a moment to recharge, connect and feel appreciated. At the same time, they truly care about reducing waste and contributing to a better world. This inspired a hands on sustainability project: from the first prototype to the final cup station, apprentices from different vocational fields worked closely together, combining design, construction and manufacturing expertise. The solution was continuously refined to ensure safe, simple and efficient use. 🛠️ Reusable cups are now returned after use and professionally cleaned in the on site cafeteria – a sustainable and cost efficient alternative to disposables.
