If you’re a sustainability professional and you’re exploring carbon dioxide removal (CDR), emerging regulation can be hard to translate into concrete decisions. In this webinar, our Head of Carbon Markets Molly Tinker unpacks how carbon removal policy is evolving across the EU, Switzerland, and the UK—and what new frameworks mean for quality, claims, disclosure, and compliance readiness. 📅 Monday, June 1, 2026 🕚 10:00-10:40 (BST) | 11:00-11:40 (CET) 🌐 Digital event Register here: https://lnkd.in/eJtBxJFf #Climeworks #webinar #CDR #policy

Collaboration is what turns credible climate ambition into action. Last week in Milan, Climeworks co-hosted the Sustainability Leaders Networking Reception with the Consolato generale di Svizzera a Milano and Swiss Business Hub Italy. The evening brought together Italy’s growing sustainability community across finance, fashion, energy, technology, and industry to exchange ideas on credible climate leadership, carbon removal, and the path from ambition to implementation. A special thank you to our speakers: Professor Massimo Tavoni, our co-host Consul General Stefano Lazzarotto, and our colleague Lisa, for setting the tone with their insights on science, policy, business action, and durable carbon removal. It’s encouraging to see collaboration around credible climate action gaining momentum globally, and inspiring to see this reflected in Milan. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a valuable exchange. We look forward to continuing the conversation and building the partnerships needed to scale credible climate solutions. #ClimateAction #CarbonRemoval #ClimateSolutions #NetZero #Event #Italy

Data centers are scaling fast alongside AI, driving a sharp increase in electricity and infrastructure demand. In many regions, incremental supply is expected to come from fossil generation, often natural gas. So how do we deploy AI and data centers more responsibly? Our CEO, Christoph Gebald, published an op-ed in Heatmap News yesterday exploring this question. The core argument: carbon removal should be considered part of responsible AI deployment. Efficiency gains and grid decarbonization can reduce emissions, but some will remain as residual emissions. Carbon removal can help close that gap while energy systems continue the transition. One week ago, Climeworks had the privilege of hosting the official Climate Week Zurich event series by the Federal Office for the Environment FOEN of Switzerland at our DAC Innovation Center. The day focused on implementing carbon dioxide removal (CDR) pilot transfers under Art 6.2 between Switzerland, Norway and Sweden. Credible international cooperation on carbon removal is a key step toward net zero and enabling the transition from voluntary to compliance carbon markets. After facilitating the first commercial agreements between Switzerland and Norway last November with the City of Zurich, IWB Industrielle Werke Basel and Carbon Centric, we were proud to mark another milestone: the signing of the bilateral agreement between Switzerland and Sweden at our facility. A big thank you to FOEN for your trust and even more your leadership in pioneering these international frameworks that will shape the next chapter of international carbon markets. #CarbonRemoval #ClimateAction #Switzerland #Sweden #CWZ2026 #ClimateWeekZurich
