  • RAC auditors aren't reviewing your intentions, just your records. The auditor doesn't know how thorough you were in the exam room. They know what's in the chart. If the chart contains narrative notes, estimated wound sizes, and a billing code - but not objective, image-supported measurement to back it up - your claim is vulnerable. What survives an audit: - Timestamped wound documentation with photos - Objective measurement with methodology noted - Consistent visit-to-visit comparison showing clinical rationale - Imaging findings linked to treatment decisions (think spectral imaging) What doesn't: - "Wound appears 3 cm × 4 cm" - Clinical judgment without images - Inconsistent documentation across a patient's wound history Swift Skin & Wound and Swift Ray build a defensible record automatically, at the point of care. The difference between a clean audit and a clawback demand is often not what happened in the room but what was captured. #WoundCare #AuditDefense #DigitalWoundCare

  • Length x Width That's the wound measurement method the industry settled on and gave you no choice. Not because it's accurate. Because it's fast and because nobody challenged it. On average, it allows overestimates of wound area up to 41%. 41% Run that number through a practice applying CAMPS at any volume. You're billing on a documented wound size that's possibly 41% larger than actual, across hundreds of applications, year after year. Swift drives true surface area measurements - highly accurate - every time. Along with the largest wound imaging dataset in the world, deployed across health systems and independent practices, built specifically so accurate measurement stops being the exception. The industry may have accepted the error. We didn't. #WoundCare #WoundMeasurement #AuditDefense #WoundImaging

  • Fluorescent imaging has a reimbursement pathway - and it's been available since 2020. CMS established 2 codes to cover fluorescence imaging used during wound care encounters. At current Medicare rates, each application generates meaningful per-visit reimbursement, in addition to standard wound care codes. Swift Ray® is FDA 510(k)-cleared and generates the objective, image-based documentation required to support these claims. It's not a research device or a pilot program — it's a cleared tool with a defined billing pathway. The practices capturing this reimbursement consistently have two things in common: a cleared device and a repeatable workflow. The first wound imaging device that is truly portable - fits in the palm of your hand - seamlessly integrates with the most advanced and proven AI-driven platform available. Objective imaging, protecting from wastage, improved audit defense posture and proven reimbursement. Want to talk? #WoundCare #FluorescenceImaging #WoundCareReimbursement #SwiftRay

  • Your wound measurements may be costing you more than you think. The math is straightforward — and unsettling. Manual length × width overestimates wound area by up to 41% compared to calibrated digital measurement. Really. For a practice applying cellular tissue products or advanced wound care at scale, that gap isn't a rounding error. It's a billing discrepancy that shows up in your documentation — and in a post-payment audit. CMS, RAC contractors, and MACs don't evaluate your clinical intent. They evaluate your records. If your documented wound size consistently runs 40% higher than what accurate imaging would show, that's exposure. The fix isn't more documentation. It's more accurate documentation — at the point of care, every time. Swift Skin & Wound combines calibrated, highly accurate true surface area measurements, combined with AI trained on the largest dataset available - resulting in true wound dimensions on every encounter. If you're still measuring length × width, using paper rules, or just making an educated guess - it's worth asking: what's the real cost of that habit? #WoundCare #ClinicalDocumentation #WoundMeasurement #DigitalWound

  • We are back from #SAWCSpring and one thing is pretty clear - the shift to #DigitalWoundImaging and #AI in isn’t theoretical anymore. It’s happening. Across every site of care, providers are looking for better ways to measure, document, and defend what they do. This demand, for tools that actually fit into workflow came up in every conversation we had. That’s exactly where Swift sits, and the level of engagement this week reinforced it. And now with Swift Ray you can add reimbursable solutions to that conversation as well. We had five posters, including presentations from Rob Fraser and Amy Cassata BSN, RN, WCC, along with Rob’s session at Wound Healing Society walking through the evolution of Swift; from early clinical insight to what is now the largest AI and imaging platform in wound care. It’s been a long road, but the traction is real. What stood out just as much as the booth traffic was where else these conversations are happening. Imaging and AI weren’t just show floor topics. They’re being actively discussed in rooms like Wound Care Collaborative Community and the Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders. That’s where policy, reimbursement, and real adoption start to take shape, and it’s good to see Swift at the table helping move that forward. In partnership with both HMP Global and the Frank N Lizzie Show we were thrilled to introduce Swift Ray, and hear from Kane Wound Care and Cullen Chiu how instrumental to their practice this new technology has become. Strong meeting, strong signal from the market. The future here is pretty bright. We hope you'll join us! Scott Nelson Dragos Duta Carrie Vuu Tom Soroka Bob Bartlett MD CPE #WoundCare #DigitalHealth

  • Strong story from Rob Fraser at #SAWCSpring 2026, it’s the real story of how innovation happens. From a single patient moment to a platform now supporting millions of patients annually… that’s not a straight line, that’s persistence, iteration, and hard-earned evidence. A few points that hit home for our team at Swift: • Validation isn’t a checkbox, it’s the engine. • Accuracy gets you in the door, outcomes keep you there. • And none of it happens without the right people pushing it forward. This is why we’ve invested in building the largest wound image datasets in the world, and pairing it with AI-driven insights. Proof isn’t optional. Also great to see continued momentum from the Wound Care Collaborative Community — critical work shaping where this industry goes next. Appreciate the leadership here, Rob. Now back to work for us all, still a lot left to build. HMP Global

Thank you to the Wound Healing Society and Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) Spring for the invitation to present in Charlotte. My talk was about the journey from clinical insight to commercialization. The short version: my path started with a patient and an iPhone 2... 15 years ago. It became a grad school project that worked academically but failed was not a real product. It took a hackathon, then meeting the co-founders of Swift Medical who created a digital tool I wanted to use in practice. Now 29 peer-reviewed publications and over 70 peer reviewed posters, 42 million wound images, 1.3 million patients a year and FDA clearance, with more to do as we continue to scale innovative new capabilities. Three things I keep coming back to: Validation is not a phase. It is a practice. In medtech, your evidence base is your competitive moat, and you never stop building it. Evidence of accuracy gets you to market. Evidence of outcomes keeps you there. The right mix of people is the single biggest determinant of whether an idea reaches a clinical practice or dies on a whiteboard. I can’t say enough about how lucky I am to have an team and too many collaborators to mention. I also had the chance to speak about the Wound Care Collaborative Community . The WCCC brings together the FDA, wound care leaders, and industry to advance standards of care. If you work in this space and want to shape where it is heading, get involved. Grateful to share the stage with Dr. Aristidis Veves and moderators Dr. Ivan Jozic, PhD and Dr. Swathi Balaji . Good company to think alongside. #WoundCare #SAWC2026 #WoundHealingSociety #MedTech #DigitalHealth #WCCC

  • Credibility Shows Up in Data Anyone can talk innovation. Not everyone shows up with evidence. At SAWC Spring 2026, we’re not just talking about where wound care is going - we’re bringing the proof. 1. FDA validation - Swift Ray is now FDA 510(k) cleared • combines fluorescence, thermal, and true wound measurement into a single, scalable platform 2. Clinical depth - We’re presenting a strong portfolio of posters! • AI-driven wound assessment in real-world settings • Infrared thermography for diabetic foot ulcers • Clinician variability—and how AI-based segmentation improves consistency • Fluorescence imaging in routine care • Longitudinal healing outcomes with digital wound care • System-wide implementation across rural health networks • Early infection detection and advanced management approaches We're bringing the whole team and we’ll be on-site all week - connecting clinical reality with technology that actually holds up under scrutiny. If you care about standardization, scalability, and data you can defend, the conversation gets real at booth #1038. #SAWCSpring #WoundCare #ClinicalEvidence #MedTech #DigitalHealth
