Our Chilliwack team recently presented a $2,000 donation to Cops for Cancer, reflecting our continued commitment to supporting the communities we serve. Cops for Cancer unites first responders and community partners to raise funds for childhood cancer research and vital support programs. Their efforts provide meaningful assistance to families during some of life’s most challenging moments and make a lasting impact right here in our community. We’re grateful to everyone who helps make contributions like this possible!

During the Problem Gambling Awareness Month, our team came together for an important conversation: Caring for Communities, Stronger Futures.   A heartfelt thank you to our guest speakers Lorelle Muller Lumsden, Nerin Kaur, and Happie Poonian for generously sharing their time and expertise with our team.   One message came through clearly: no single organization does this alone. It takes collaboration across the full ecosystem, from our casino team members who notice and connect, to onsite GameSense and PlaySmart advisors who provide in-the-moment support, to community organizations like Connex Ontario who ensure that players who need help can access it.   Every link in that chain matters. We recognize that progress happens when we intentionally support, uplift, and champion one another.

Coldest Night of the Year reminds us that compassion matters most when it’s needed most. At Great Canadian Entertainment, we come together to support individuals and families experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our communities. By walking side by side, we show that even on the coldest nights, warmth comes from connection, generosity, and collective action.

At Great Canadian Entertainment, our commitment to community impact continues through meaningful partnerships and events. In February, we recognized Black History Month through our Team Member Resource Group, Spark It Up: Let’s Talk About Inclusion, participation in the Ignite Event with the Black Talent Initiative (BTI), and a visit to the NIA Centre in Toronto. Guest speaker Templeton Sawyer joined us to inspire reflection and dialogue, aligning with this year’s Canadian theme: “30 Years of Black History Month: Honouring Black Brilliance Across Generations — From Nation Builders to Tomorrow’s Visionaries.” We also celebrated team members who exemplify Black Excellence across GCE, highlighting their achievements and impact. We proudly support Black Talent Initiative with an annual $10,000 donation, and team members attended the Ignite Event from February 25–27. We also contribute $2,500 to the NIA Centre, supporting arts, culture, and opportunities for Black youth in our communities. On February 27, our GCT and Corporate team members toured the Centre, participated in an interactive workshop, and engaged in a Q&A session. Together, these efforts reflect our ongoing dedication to creating meaningful, lasting impact.
