Indigenous businesses are making meaningful contributions to major projects and international trade, and it’s important to tell the stories of their participation in the economy to fully understand the successes and remaining obstacles. In collaboration with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Business Data Lab, CCIB has launched the Indigenous Business Insights Tracker, an interactive tool designed to provide a clearer picture of Indigenous entrepreneurship and the growing impact of Indigenous businesses across Canada. Updated quarterly, the tracker provides timely, actionable insights into business outlooks, trade activity, cross-border commerce, tariffs and the challenges Indigenous businesses are navigating in today’s evolving economy. It highlights the experiences and contributions of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit entrepreneurs, helping businesses, policymakers, researchers, and communities better understand the Indigenous business landscape. Explore the tracker today on CCIB’s website. #CCIB #BusinessDataLab #CanadianChamber #IndigenousBusiness #EconomicData #BusinessInsights #Trade #CdnEcon

Today, on Moose Hide Campaign Day, people across Canada are wearing moose hide pins as a collective stand against gender-based violence. This small piece of moose hide carries a powerful message of solidarity and a commitment to ending gender-based violence in all its forms. We all have a role to play. Ending the violence starts with conversations and actions that everyone can take, especially men and boys, to support reconciliation, healing, and respect for women, children and all people along the gender continuum. We also recognize the heartbreaking reality that Indigenous women are twice as likely to experience violence from their current or former partner. This must stop. Together, we can create meaningful change. #moosehidecampaignday #genderbasedviolence #communityhealing #violenceprevention
