We were proud to take part in the inaugural Britannia Day celebration in Britannia Village on Sunday, May 17. A big thank you to our team on the ground, water treatment operators Sam Marchand and wade quin, who represented BQE Water and helped make the day a success. Heading up the bike parade sign-in tent, they greeted 60 children and their families during the morning. Each child left with a BQE Water tote bag filled with a colouring sheet, crayons, and more fun goodies from other community sponsors. It was a fantastic opportunity to begin building relationships in the community where we’ve recently taken on the operation of the Britannia Mine Water Treatment Plant. We’re excited to be there for the long term and look forward to becoming an active and supportive part of the community. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello, and thanks to Britannia Village for a great event! #Community #BritanniaVillage #LocalEngagement #BQEWater #TeamBQE 📷 Images taken by Sam 🙌

If you’re attending CIM CONNECT 2026 in Vancouver, May 3-6, make a point to connect with Brent Baker, VP, Water Solutions, and Garret Truckair, Commissioning Specialist, who are both onsite during the conference. Ask for their insights on mine wastewater treatment, including why bringing on water treatment expertise early in the mining life cycle can significantly reduce long-term operating and closure costs. Early involvement helps de-risk permitting, supports production continuity, and enables better integration of cutting‑edge, IP‑driven treatment technologies like BQE’s solutions. But seeing is believing, they say! BQE is offering an IRL opportunity on May 6, the final day of the conference, for a guided tour of the Britannia Mine water treatment plant on the beautiful Sea to Sky highway. What you’ll experience: - A real-world mine water treatment plant in operation on your guided walk-through of the Britannia Mine facility - What it really takes to manage water long after mining stops with a mine water treatment system running after closure - Open conversations with the people who run the facility about day‑to‑day operations - The real environmental outcome, including how treated mine water helps keep Howe Sound clean and healthy - End with an opportunity to visit the historic Britannia Village for refreshments Interested in joining the Britannia Mine tour? Spaces are limited. Please contact Brent Baker directly to book your spot. #CIMCONNECT2026 #MineWater #WaterTreatment #SustainableMining #BritanniaMine Image: A view of Howe Sound with the Britannia Mine WTP in the foreground, headshots of Brent and Garret overlaid.

Are you attending the Water in Mining Global Summit April 20-22 at the Vancouver Convention Centre this year? If the answer is a resounding yes!, Brent Baker and Kresimir Ljubetic would love to catch up with you. Water sustainability is at the heart of what we do. At BQE, our service model is built on delivering innovative water treatment solutions using proven IP products with solutions that address challenges across emerging, established, and legacy mine systems. By working collaboratively with Indigenous stakeholders, we focus on achieving the best environmental outcomes at every stage of the mining lifecycle. Brent and Kresi are ready to answer your questions. Ask them about BQE’s approach to water treatability assessments, how we improve efficiencies in operations, and support planning and design for end-of-life mine closure. They also happen to know a thing or two about cranky office coffee machines and are more than happy to hear whether yours has more attitude than theirs ☕ See you at #WIM! #Sustainability #WaterStewardship #Innovation #BQEWater #CoffeeTalk

David Kratochvil visited the impressive inukshuk above the village of Salluit where the Nuvumiut Development office is located. In 2025, they gifted us a stunning walrus sculpture. #BQEWater #Nuvumiut #Nunavik #WaterTreatment #EnvironmentalStewardship #InuitCommunities #Mining #InuitArt

BQE Water is pleased to partner with Hudbay Minerals to advance the implementation of the SART process and its integration into the New Britannia mill in Snow Lake, Manitoba — set to become the FIRST SART 👍🎈 installation in Canada. This follows six months of testing, modelling, and a site due diligence visits by Hudbay’s technical team to SART plants currently operating under BQE’s technical supervision. With detailed engineering underway, both teams are beginning to prepare for construction, commissioning, and plant operations. President & CEO David Kratochvil commented: “The project has been advancing quickly due to the sense of ownership, open communication, and agility shared by BQE and Hudbay. All of us at BQE are super excited for Chris Fleming – inventor of SART and our longtime Director – for finally being able to bring his invention home to Canada.” Read the full release on our website https://lnkd.in/gfXMTUmp

We’re thrilled to announce that BQE Water has been awarded the 20-year contract to operate and maintain the Britannia Mine Water Treatment Plant, a key facility protecting BC’s coastal waters. This award highlights the strength of BC-grown expertise. As a locally headquartered company with global mine water experience, we’re excited to take on a role often awarded by governments to large and/or multinational firms. Under the agreement, BQE Water will run the facility that treats 4–5 million cubic metres of mine-impacted water annually, preventing roughly 600 tonnes of metals from entering the ocean. Our skilled team will implement modern technological systems and support planned capital upgrades to ensure long-term performance and environmental protection. “We are honoured to be entrusted by the Province of BC with the operation of this important local asset that protects a coastal ecosystem,” says President & CEO, David Kratochvil. We look forward to supporting the next chapter of the Britannia Mine story.
