🚀 A new experiment module for the HOST2 instrument — together with the new LITHI camera — just launched to the International Space Station (ISS) with SpaceX 34. HOST2 (Heat Transfer Host 2) is a European Space Agency - ESA science facility designed and built by our team in Belgium to study evaporation, condensation and fluid behavior in microgravity. It is already on board the ISS. The new experiment module that just launched, Marangoni in Films, will be installed on the facility and will focus on how thin liquid films behave while evaporating in microgravity. By closely observing how heat, liquid flow, and vapour interact on heated surfaces, scientists hope to better understand why instabilities form and how evaporation efficiency can be improved. Basically, this research could help engineers design smaller, lighter, and more efficient cooling systems for both future spacecraft and terrestrial applications. Watch our Austin Explains to learn more about HOST2!

Thank you, US Ambassador Stacey Feinberg, for visiting our team in Luxembourg! It was a privilege to discuss our ongoing projects as well as research and development efforts for the Luxembourg space sector. Our conversations emphasized the shared commitment between the U.S. and Luxembourg. We also talked about some of our projects, like our MANUS robotic arm, a manipulator to support the loading and offloading of equipment/cargo from/to the Argonaut lunar lander, either onto a rover, lunar surface or to handover to an astronaut. Thank you, Ambassador Feinberg, for your time, insights, and support in fostering stronger and continued international collaboration.
"Redwire's work in robotics to service satellites and remove space debris highlights how transatlantic innovation is driving the next chapter of the space economy. Great to see #Redwire pushing the boundaries of what's possible!" - Ambassador Stacey Feinberg Redwire Europe - Redwire - Alexandre Wodarczyk - Benjamin FAVIER - #Space #SpaceTech #USLuxembourg #Innovation

We were honored to participate in the annual Ministry of the Interior Industry Day in Riga, #Latvia, where we showcased our Stalker #UAS and Octopus Surveillance Systems and the role in they play in supporting situational awareness and operational decision‑making in complex and demanding environments. This forum brings together reps from internal security institutions, industry, and research organizations - it was valuable to participate alongside fellow thought leaders in discussions surrounding current challenges and long‑term priorities in the security domain. These engagements underscored the importance of sustained cooperation between public authorities and industry, particularly in strengthening resilience, addressing evolving threats, and ensuring that technological development remains closely aligned with real operational needs. We thank the Information Centre of Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Latvia and the Latvian Security and Defence Industries Federation for continuing to host this annual platform! #SituationalAwareness #TechnicalDevelopment #MissionOperations #CombatProven

Redwire has completed major production milestones for the onboard computers of two European Space Agency - ESA missions: Ramses and Genesis. The onboard computers will be the "brain" of the spacecraft, enabling spacecraft control, data management and communications during these ambitious asteroid and remote sensing missions. Built by our Belgium team, these ADPMS‑3 systems reinforce Redwire’s leadership in European avionics, following successful contributions to Hera, Comet Interceptor and Proba‑3 Read more about these milestones on the blog: https://lnkd.in/esA8QT4V

The Riga team hosted representatives and students from the U.S. College of Information and Cyberspace, College of Information and Cyberspace, National Defense University (CIC) as part of an ongoing mission to educate joint warfighters, national security leaders, and the cyber workforce on the cyber domain and information environment. At the Riga facility, the group learned about local operations, products, and production processes. The program included a structured presentation followed by a factory tour, providing insight into how systems are produced and supported at the Riga site. The visit provided an opportunity for in‑person discussions between the CIC delegation and our Riga team, contributing to knowledge exchange aligned with global security objectives. We are confident this successful visit established a foundation for future cooperation.

Redwire Launches Additional Colloids Experiments to the International Space Station. On April 11, Redwire launched two cell modules filled with new protein samples to the ISS to study how proteins crystallize in microgravity. By studying the proteins in microgravity, scientists can better understand their behavior without the interference of Earth's gravity. This research could inform future drug development and biomedical innovation. The cell modules are for the COLIS instrument, a powerful research platform designed and developed by Redwire for the European Space Agency - ESA. COLIS is advancing our understanding of diseases, drug development, advanced materials, industrial processes, and biomedical applications. Image Credit: NASA Read more: https://bit.ly/3R3tEaE

The first Proba-3 science is in! ☀️🏃♀️➡️🏃♀️➡️🏃♀️➡️ Close to the Sun, it spotted solar wind moving 3–4 times faster than expected. Proba-3 can see the Sun's outer atmosphere (the corona) in high resolution, closer to the Sun's surface than other space-based coronagraphs. It takes 1–2 images per minute, allowing scientists to closely track material moving close to the Sun: the birth of space weather! Curious? 👉 https://lnkd.in/eE9sD2dn In the last year, the 2-spacecraft mission has ☀️⚫️🛰️ made 57 artificial solar eclipses 📹 recorded >250 hrs of videos of the Sun’s inner corona ☀️🌑🌍 equivalent to 5000 total solar eclipse campaigns on Earth!
