Last week our Curriculum Division Executive Director, Dr Sean Butler and Mathematics Curriculum Manager, Michael MacNeill attended The Mathematical Association of Victoria’s (MAV) VCE Conference. Pictured with MAV CEO Jennifer Bowden CAE, this event brought together mathematics teachers across Victoria to enhance VCE mathematics curriculum and teaching expertise!

This week, we acknowledged Sue Bell for her outstanding service as she concludes her tenure at the VCAA. Contributing to education for 48 years – including roles as a teacher, principal, President of the Victorian Association of State Secondary Principals (VASSP), and leader of significant reforms in Victoria’s Senior Secondary education – Sue has made an exceptional impact on the sector. Her commitment to listening to and empowering schools, leaders, teachers, and students ensures education reform remains informed by genuine classroom experience. Sue leaves a lasting legacy of positive change across our organisation and the broader education community. We extend our gratitude for her vision and look forward to building upon her important work.
