"MURRA connected me to a network of amazing people. I was humbled to meet some very amazing business owners - people who are passionate about their businesses, how they're working in Community, and how they are contributing to the economic well-being of Indigenous families effectively. It helped me to understand more about the part we can all play." Leauarne Adams (Wulli Wulli), MURRA 2023. Since 2012, the MURRA Indigenous Business Program has helped Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business owners and managers to develop their skills to grow their businesses and lead their organisations for the benefit of the community. Find out more about this unique program - created by and for First Australian changemakers. https://lnkd.in/dpURg6cs Contact Program Manager Chris Riley (Noongar) for a yarn: chris.riley@unimelb.edu.au; 03 9349 8200. #DilinDuwa #IndigenousBusiness #MURRA

Excited at the launch of the International Journal of Indigenous Business (IJIB). The IJIB is an important moment for Indigenous scholarship, practice, and leadership in business. This journal has been established not simply to add to an existing body of literature, but to shift how business is understood, researched, taught, and practised when Indigenous peoples define the terms. Indigenous peoples have always engaged in sophisticated economic systems grounded in place, kinship, law, culture, and responsibility. This journal recognises Indigenous business as intellectually generative, theoretically rich, and already offering viable models for economic life in a time of global uncertainty. Congratulations to the Editorial team and all the contributors with a special shout out to Dilin Duwa Dialogues Theme Chairs Professor Ella Henry and Associate Professor Sharlene Leroy-Dyer who served as Editors-in-Chief, and Professor Jason Mika with whom Dilin Duwa Director Michelle Evans served on the editorial board. https://ow.ly/2Ujy50YxTAp #IndigenousResearch #IndigenousLeadership
