Turning organic waste into nanocellulose. Deep tech bioinformatics for the circular economy.

About us

Every tonne of organic waste holds untapped potential. We built the systems to unlock it. AG Intellisense is an Australian deep tech company using bioinformatics to turn organic waste into nanocellulose — high-performance biodegradable materials made from what the world throws away. Up to 50% of organic waste is cellulose — the same material industry currently sources from wood pulp. Using bioinformatics, including our metabolomics platform Quira, we map the molecular composition of organic waste streams and extract high-value materials that would otherwise be burnt, buried, or forgotten. Our green chemistry process uses recyclable organic acids and enzymatic pre-treatments — no sulfuric acid, no toxic byproducts. The result is nanocellulose for packaging, food, coatings, biomedical, and cosmetics industries, produced from locally sourced feedstocks like sugarcane bagasse, banana waste, and coffee grounds. This isn't recycling. It's valorisation. Founded in Queensland, Australia.
