World Health Day 2026 marks the beginning of the World Health Organisation's campaign to call on governments, scientists, health workers, partners and the public to celebrate the power of scientific collaboration to protect the health of people, animals, plants, and the planet. 🌏 This means: 🧬 stand with science by engaging with evidence, facts, and science-based guidance to protect health; 🧬 rebuild trust in science and public health; and 🧬 support science-led solutions for a healthier future. As a community of evidence-based practitioners, we stand with these goals, now and always. #TogetherForScience

Autism looks different for everyone, and can shape unique ways of seeing, feeling, and understanding the world. Autism advocate Dr. Temple Grandin said, "Autism is a way of being. It's not something you get over. It's part of the tapestry of who you are." Today is the perfect opportunity to educate ourselves and celebrate the incredible diversity of minds that make our world richer, and work towards creating more equitable environments that benefit all. Take what you learn today and carry it into the way you move through the world. #Autism #WorldAutismAwarenessDay #InclusiveCommunity

Being an occupational therapist often means noticing what works and what doesn’t. You see the gaps in systems. The pressure points in funding. The moments where policy decisions land directly in your day-to-day practice, affecting the people you support and the way you do your work. Advocacy can feel distant from the clinic room or community setting, but it’s shaped by lived experience. By the conversations OTs have with colleagues. By shared frustrations, ideas and hopes for what the profession could be. When OTs come together through a professional community, those experiences don’t stay isolated. They inform submissions, consultations, and conversations at a national level, so individual voices become part of a collective voice. For OTA members, this advocacy is already happening in the background, reflecting the realities of practice and the future OTs are working towards. And for those not yet part of it, there’s space to add your voice to a profession that’s stronger when it speaks together. 👉 https://lnkd.in/gdSyMwBU

If you want to understand the impact of being a regionally based OT, look no further. We've been asking our regional OTs what it means to be able to provide services to their community and their responses speak for themselves. We are so proud to be able to support our OTs to do work they love, in the place they are connected to. ❤️💙 #RegionalHealthcare #OccupationalTherapy

This year at our Business Planning Days, we've worked with our teams around the country to understand how we can better support them in their private practices. A huge shout out to all our franchisees who have attended these days and provided insight, embraced connection and contributed to how we are shaping the future of ActivOT! ❤️💙 PS. How great does our QLD Team look at their planning day this year?! 🤩
