The Netherlands: A specialist unit relies on the RTE Robot AX 🤖 The "Digital Identification" team is a specialized unit within the Twente safety region. Its task: To support the regular fire brigade with cutting-edge technical equipment. To date, drones have mainly been tested and deployed for aerial and underwater reconnaissance; for example in major emergencies such as industrial or forest fires. Ventia has welcomed eight new Rosenbauer PANTHER firefighting vehicles, delivered from Europe three months ahead of schedule, strengthening fire and emergency response across Defence bases. Joined by Defence’s Director General Estate Service Delivery, Brigadier Gabrielle Follett, Ventia officially welcomed the new fleet, which will play a critical role in protecting Defence people, infrastructure and operations. Following rigorous factory acceptance testing in Austria by Ventia’s Senior Aviation Firefighters, the state-of-the-art vehicles are now set to strengthen on-base emergency readiness at RAAF Base Pearce, HMAS Albatross, RAAF Base Edinburgh and RAAF Base East Sale.
